WORLD BANK LOAN AMT $1.5 BILLION
As of 2024, India has secured significant loans from the World Bank to support various developmental projects. Recent approvals include:
- $1.5 billion to accelerate India's low-carbon transition, promoting renewable energy, green hydrogen development, and climate finance (World Bank) (World Bank).
- $562 million for three projects: an education project in Gujarat, a social protection program in Tamil Nadu, and a post-pandemic recovery project for the fisheries sector (Business Today).
These loans reflect India's continued engagement with the World Bank to address critical infrastructure, social, and environmental challenges.
